Scripps Research Institute

Role:

As a UX/UI Designer at Scripps Research Institute, I was initially contracted for three months—a term that was extended to seven months—specifically to enhance sign-up’s and user engagement for the NIH’s “All of Us” research program. My focus was on improving outreach and usability for the Latino community.

Challenge:

The program was experiencing low sign-up rates, putting the continuation of the NIH contract at risk. Understanding the urgent need to boost these numbers and engage the underrepresented Latino market, we pinpointed significant opportunities to enhance overall participation for new users.

Solution:

I streamlined the sign-up process and implemented data-driven design updates across all touchpoints. By refreshing the website UI and optimizing marketing materials, we significantly boosted user engagement. This led to a 1.5x increase in sign-ups and notable growth in the Latino market passing original benchmarks.
